What is OCIA?
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is how an adult comes into the Catholic Church — or, if already baptized Catholic, completes the sacraments they have not yet received.
It is not a class you have to pass. It is a season of conversation, prayer, and study with people who will walk alongside you, at St. Thomas Aquinas, until you are ready for the next step.
Who OCIA is for
Anyone asking questions
If you are curious about Catholicism, wondering what Catholics believe, or thinking about joining the Church, you belong here. No background in the faith is needed and no decision is required to come and listen.
Catholics with sacraments to complete
If you were baptized Catholic but never received First Communion or Confirmation, or you have been away for a long time, OCIA is the way back in.
You will not be walking alone
